Well folks, our get together has finally arrived! I'm looking forward to meeting you all. As you can see I have created a new thread, where we can post pictures and share our event experiences with everyone else. See you guys soon!  ~gf

Well today was my first Ultimate Bass get together and it was a great time.  After meeting up with everyone, Christopher and I headed up to the Alley and US 27  area.

I started off with a Speed worm and couldn't get a good hook set.  After missing about 4-5, I finally got the smell of fish on my hands.

Christopher and I decided to add a little to the competition and for every fish caught, the other had to do 10 pushups.

Christopher got on the board shortly after with a Texas rigged Senko. And I had to pay.

From the point on we both fished Zoom Speed Worms and Gambler Burner worms.

Wrapped up the day with 7 in the boat, biggest about 2 1/4 or so.

Lou, thank you for taking time out of your schedule to make this happen. We had a great time! And the you again George for the food. Definitely a nice finish to the day.

Before I begin, I want to give a huge shout-out and thank you to Big G. He was very gracious to buy us all lunch today, and with JHAB's help, they found us a great hangout spot.

On to my report.

Arrived at the ramp at 0 dark thirty. I thought I was going to be first, but out at the furthest courtesy dock, I saw one boat with a gentleman just hanging out.
I launched, parked the truck, and Esteban arrived. We  walked back to the boat, and JHAB was there waiting for me. He was in the lone boat I saw at the courtesy dock earlier. We struck up a quick conversation, and shortly after, FL Storm arrived with his son.

We hatched out the itinerary for the day, and off we went.

We made a very long run and started fishing close to 7am. Caught 7 bass in a very short time.

Around 8:30 ish we made a move, and to make this report short, we moved around a lot!!

The fishing was tough, water was dirty, and there were a lot of boats out today. We did manage to boat 20 bass, however.

At 12 p.m., we ran back to the ramp, where George and JHAB found this very nice spot to hang out and have lunch.

It was really nice and pleasure to have met all of you. George, it was great catching up and seeing you again, my friend. @Esteban, fun fishing with you again, I had a great time as always!

I look forward to having more "get togethers" in the near future.

Thank you for reading!

It was great meeting all you guys and spending some time talking about fishing our waters.  Hope we can do it again down the road.  Lou thanks for setting the whole thing up.  It was a perfect place to sit under that big tree and chew the fat, with all those Hawks flying around us.  Doesn't get any better then that! ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Glad to see you all had a great time and it was awesome that George provided lunch,  I had contemplated coming but still have a cold hanging on and didn't want to pass it on. Hopefully next time. Great fishing y'all.

Few more pics from yesterday.

We kept bumping into JHAB.

And of course some of my frog pics. ;)

Here's the Hawk that kept us company the whole time.

big g

That hawk had no fear of people and the other two kept their distance.  That was really cool, our only threat was pooping on the food.  Lol

It was an awesome Holiday (favorite bit---g hole) get together. Glad I got to meet you guys and looking forward to crossing paths, not lines! I fished south, ya'll know the weather, and got 8 bass. Largest about 3lbs and rest dinky. Ran to Miami canal and did sightseeing. Up skinny canal back to park, hit several areas known for Peas and nothing but Myans. Got tired and hot and went back early and had the pleasure of meeting George (I have lots of free time, open for chats, lunch or fishin George). Great lunch and thank you. Hope to see ya'll again and lunch is on me next time! All stay healthy and wish your, bests where appropriate a Happy Mothers Day! Hope I attach pics correctly!! Jim

big g

Jim great meeting you out there.  Since we live so close I hope we have a chance to get out and catch a few.. We have fished many of the same waters over the years.  Take care.
