Went out in the late afternoon. Hot as crap 90 plus degrees.  The water is up from where it was prior to a few weeks ago which always makes it a struggle to catch Largies.  With the water being up, I gave up on the pitching bite and went to peacock fishing with a tiny torpedo.  Caught a bunch of cookie cutter peas mixed in with some mayans and oscars.  All in all, it was a fun trip considering the water issues.

Unfortunately, the water in our area never had the chance to drop significantly, for 2 years in a row now. That makes it for tougher bass fishing in the canals unless you go into the flats. That's a different scenario.
