My Fast Strike is now 32 years old.  Yes it had a new power head and yes a replacement lower unit and yes it had some issues a couple years ago that I have now corrected.  The fact of the matter is that the motor had not been run for the past 5 week so today I decided to start it up on the muffs.

This motor starts very easily with a quick bump of the key and sends a cloud of two stroke into the air but that is the beauty of the whole deal.  This old motor just keeps running and performing and I am so glad I did not have to re-power.  A brand new motor would have been nice but saving $20K was nice also.  While the new motors are indeed very nice you still gotta give it to these old Fast Strikes.  They aren't bullet proof but they sure can take a punch.
