Did a little traveling and when I got back was wondering if a trip was worth it due to water levels and heat, but after reading Lou's reports, (nice fishing Lou) had to toughen up and give it a go! LOL Took couple "ole fishin buddy's" (Lucca and Dominic) on an outing. At ramp about 6ish, water almost to top of dock. Ran across retention area to SW canal and flow west was significant. Caught a few here and there, Team total of 9 or 10 Largemouth and several Mayan's, Bluegill etc. "We" did lose a few nice ones, so the fish are there! No size but not all dinks! All caught on Rapala originals, silver or gold. Nothin on Wacki's, poppers, frogs, etc. Water temp was 82-83, fortunately got a west wind of 5-8mph around 10am (helped with the heat and made a nice drift). Bite quit and we ran to NW corner canal and water was flowing from gates but no bites. Will try it again soon!

Thanks guys. See if I can get ya a pair of glasses Flats!! Trying to get used to the new format and screwed up posting 2x's!! Oh well, s- - - happens! Gonna try it again in the AM, little earlier and without "help" LOL
