Good afternoon!!! 53 this morning,  77 now, sunny, another nice day in paradise. Doing my exercises, walking a bit with the walker, and sometimes the cane. Tomorrow I see the therapist, I'm sure most of it will be discussing what's going on and setting up some more exercises, there will be some explaining why and who and things like that. Sometimes I wish they would realize this is my 5th time, I'm not a newbie, but, they gotta do what they gotta do, me, I just want to get on with it and get back to doing things.
I'm starting to see what I'm going to do with the boat, I've been perusing "TINYBOATNATION" and a few other sites to see what folks are doing. I'll try to get a drawing up with a brief explanation of what I'm thinking. This isn't going to be a fancy rebuild into a complete baby bass boat, but it will have a floor, deck and storage, I'm not sure about a rod locker though. I might be able to pickup a used 20 horse when I'm done, maybe. It would be nice to have  the power on some of the lakes. I do want a pair of micro anchors, they're only 8 feet but that's not too bad.
Bus I hope you get some weather you want/need, hope you can float the Ranger some more.
Donald, good to hear you're doing well, hopefully you get back to doing what us retired types like to do.
Have a great rest of your day, be well!!!

Good morning to all,

Blue Bird Skies are upon us across Central Texas this morning.  Forecasted temps are 71-96dgrs with 50%humidity with a NE wind @ 7mphs.  The little rain shower we had Sunday was nice although it only lasted 30 minutes.

To all you UB members that live in Florida I have ya in my daily prayers.  Hopefully there won't be any major damage done to y'all property.

Not much planned for today I need to make a quick trip to Walmart and pickup some items for the wife.  There's always something forgotten when you grocery shop.  I'll  spent the rest of the day tinkering around on the computer and watching tv.  The wife is all packed and ready for her trip to Anchorage.  We'll be heading to the airport Thursday morning bright and early.

Rodney; Glad to hear that the physical therapy > you walking around etc. is going well.  I've checked out those little boat website before and they are interesting.  Have fun getting your boat set up the way you want it.

To everyone have a pleasant day and evening ahead.

Took some time to secure items from the lawn that could blow around during the upcoming storm.  Current forecast indicates some gusts in the 50-60 mph range are possible.  We are about 2 miles inland and winds here should be in the 35 - 40 mph range but you need to plan accordingly incase the storm track shifts a little bit.  Mostly this will be a rain event for us with a possible accumulation of 5-6" in a very short time.  That will cause some local flooding.  For the folks right on the beach it also depends upon when the storm hits.  If it arrives around high tide the streets on Ocean Drive will certainly be flooded.  Heck they even flood during a regular high time so it is not unknown around these parts.

I did stop by the grocery for a couple items and then stopped by the bowling pro shop to order another bowling ball that I had been wanting.  This bowling thing has the same bait monkey condition as bass fishing if you know what I mean.

Hey Rodney good to see your doing good keep it up so you can get to work on the boat.

Greetings to all  8)

Forecasted temps for across Central Texas today are 70-98dgrs with 34%humidity with a N wind @ 5mphs.

I have all of our Florida members in my daily prayers.  Hope there not any serious damage done to anyone's property and that all the family members are safe.

Not a whole lot planned for today here.  We're off to Austin later on this afternoon we're spending the night there.  The wife is catching her plane dark thirty in the morning for Anchorage, Alaska.  She's spending the week up there visiting with our Grandkids.   I'll be roughen for the next 5 days  ~shade

Dog; Tks for stopping in buddy.  Glad to hear that you're hanging in there.  You been fishing lately?
Fishing kinda tough right now with the drought going on etc.  We have a lot of dry banks on both lakes and it pretty dangerous out there with all this low water.  The lakes are continued to be drawn down daily as they supply water to the communities South of us.
I'm getting better health wise and feeling pretty good.  I'm still not able to bend over and back up without getting some what light headed.  Things are improving though and we'll be back at it in the Spring  ;)

Bud; Hope the really bad weather bypasses your place.  Yep every hobby has those Bait Monkeys  lo   I remember when I was playing golf while stationed in Alaska.  There wasn't a trip to Walmart or any store that I wasn't picking something up a box of ball, tees or ball markers it was always something  ::)   You have fun with this new hobby.  Hope your able to get the Ranger out soon also.

Rodney; Hope the physical therapy is going well for ya.  I still have ya in my daily prayers buddy.

To everyone hope the day is a good one for y'all.  Be safe in your travels if you have to be out and about.

The tropical storm has passed and once again we have avoided any damage at our home.  Got all the stuff put back out in the yard this morning.  Our location missed the bad stuff.  Over at the beach they had the predicted flooding and the usual damage to the dunes at the beach front but nothing different than has happened before.  Most of the really heavy rain was inland out around Florence and Darlington along I-95 with up to 9" reported in some spots.  We had about 3-4" here and no flooding even in the big ditch behind the house.  The rain came in squalls at the bands came on shore.  Between the squalls the ditches would drain a bit keeping the flooding potential at a minimum.

Weather now is bright and sunny with temp at 82 and a breeze of about 8-10 mph.  Humidity is not bad and the weather this week is promising to keep the temps on the cool side with low humidity.  The race at Darlington this weekend looks to have ideal weather.

Good afternoon to all,

Forecasted temps for across Central Texas today are 70-100dgrs with 23%humidity with a SE wind @ 5mphs.  We're returning back to those triple digit temps here till Wednesday.  It will then begin to slowly cool down.  There still isn't much of any chances of rain in the next 30days according to the extended forecast :(

Spent yesterday afternoon and night in Austin at the the Hyatt Hotel.  The wife had a early flight out of Austin up to Anchorage this morning.  She landed in Seattle safety and is now enroute to Anchorage.  It was pretty cool driving back on the toll road this morning at 4am.  There were only about dozen or so  vehicles on there.  The speed limit is 80mphs and I was doing every bit of it  :)   There were  a couple vehicles that passed me  :o

I'm going to spend the afternoon messing with the tv in the living room.  It's not streaming right for some reason.  It will come on and then shut off after a few minutes.  I talked with a Geek at Best Buys this morning he provided some insight.  We'll see what happens.  Other than that I'm staying put in the house and enjoying the AC.

Bud; Tks for the update sure glad to hear the bad stuff missed your place.  You and the wife have a pleasant evening ahead.

To everyone be safe in your travels and be mindful of your surroundings.  Hope your day and evening are a pleasant and relaxing one.
