Conditions:
Skies: Partly cloudy
Wind: NE 8-12
Water Clarity: clear
Current: Yes
Water Temps: 85 degrees
Outside Temps: 90

As I mentioned over on FL Bass Talk, coming off from having Covid earlier this week, I was REALLY looking forward to fishing today. Arrived at 0 dark thirty, and launched at 0 dark thirty. Idled along until dawn. Once I could see, made a short run, and started fishing.

I already had a game plan in mind going into this outing, and with the current going at full bore, it appeared my plan was going to play out. ;)

Started with a couple of top water lures just to rule them out, and as I figured zero activity. Changed things up, started fishing the bottom, and bingo, signs of life. Not too big, but bass nonetheless. My clicker was active through out the morning.

At around 930, I decided to implement my game plan. I'm in the process of shooting video about this, but for the sake of the report, I will mention it, I started to power fish with the fluke. The idea came to me the last time I fished this system, and the technique did not let me down today!!

I wrapped up my outing at around 11:30, checked my clicker, and I ended up boating 33 bass. Crazy!! Power Fluking saved the day!!  ~shade

Thanks for reading!!

WTG Lou!  Glad you're giving the Holey Land the time it deserves.  Big fish in there with all that current, and high bank walls to lock them in.  Thanks for the report.

Great job! What is the difference between power fluking and fluke fishing in general?

I will cover this with more detail, but basically, I'm fishing with stout gear and hooks, inside of specific cover.

Since the question was asked and I'm still working on the video, I posted a thread briefly explaining power fluking.
