Building a spinning rod for the wife. Apparently giving input on what she'd like on this build is about the same as asking her where she wants to go eat.  ::)

So what do y'all think about this trim band? Too much? There would be another just behind the rear grip, one in front of the reel seat, one on the hook keeper, and one in front of the label. Guides will probably be wrapped in one color, most likely black. You cannot view this attachment. You cannot view this attachment.

So you know how it is  lo

Ok. Thanks guys. I was debating tearing it off of there, but I guess I'll go with it.

I like the trim band. I say keep it.

About that other thing, I think any guy who's married or been married can sympathize

Letting the last coat of finishing epoxy cure. I'll balance it and glue up the butt cap tomorrow. I did a static load test and some test casts with a 2500 size Pflueger Lady President she had laying around using a 3/16 oz drop shot weight as a casting plug, and it throws it a mile. Those Microwave guides are legit. I think she'll like it.

Thanks Lou. Finally done with it. Hoping we might be able to run to the lake sometime this week for her to try it out.

Thanks FD. I'm still just learning and making some different mistakes on each one that I have to turn around and fix, but I would've never even known where to start without your help. Your videos have been an awesome help.
