My wife and I took a drive around the Ozark hills of northern Morgan County MO this evening just to see what we could see. There's a fair bit of color and it was a super little outing. As we came back thru the little burg of Florence near the house I started seeing Robins. Then more Robins. Then it kind of went crazy, and for the next two miles until we got home there were THOUSANDS of Robins. Everywhere. In the fields, the trees, and in the air by the droves. I've never seen anything like it. Very cool. Which is why they're heading south.

'Cuz it's very cooollll.

Never seen Robins flock. Usual for them to hunt with a mate. Cool stuff!

The Great Northern Owl living in my tree produced Owlets this Spring. When the adult booms his evening call, 5-7 calls now answer him. Watching an Owl eat leaves me a little queasy.
