Beef & Vegetable Stew!

Cooler weather & stew goes together! Beef, tomato, green pepper, field peas, potato, onion, corn, carrots, green beans, peas, okra, beef broth, some salt, pepper & garlic powder. I also added a little pork that I had left over from last night. My late wife used to call that "must go", as, if it was in the refrigerator, it must go!

That looks great! Did you have a special cut of beef or just grab some stew chunks at the grocery?

Mike, Thanks! I just grabbed some stew meat at the store, nothing special. With the prices of beef now, I can't get too fancy with buying beef, and don't buy a lot of it anyway.

I made a big pot of this stew, so will get several meals from, and spreads out the cost per meal. I try to get some beef about every two or three weeks, but even that's not something I count on doing.

I'm eating some now. I ate Okra as a kid because we were poor. Well, I'm not poor now so I switch the Okra for a splash of Bourbon. Making a kid eat Okra should be considered abuse.

The only way I like okra is in Gumbo and this is Gumbo weather too.
