Welcome to SJHT 6th event of the 2024 Season where once again SJHT anglers ventured out of state during the NJ Closed Bass Season.  This time the Upper Cheaseapeake was our playground and anglers showed up and showed out.  The big girls along with the Snakeheads show there true evolution and anglers were not diisappointed.

A little preview of the morning blast off.

Let's Go!

Please give a big congrats to 1st place winner   Rob *Black Cloud* Masterson with 3 Bass going 11.94lbs.  Rob's Lunker went  a fat 5.08bs but that wouldn't hold up at the weigh in.    2nd Place and Lunker was won by Carlos *Every dog has its day* Jimenz with 3 bass going 10.51lbs. Carlos Lunker went a nice 5.44lbs edging out Rob's by .36lbs.   Third place was won by Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino with 3 Bass going 7.32lbs.   Since No one won Miscellleaneous from our LUMS Pond tournament, that purse rolled over into this weeks event....adding another $35 to the pool on top of today's $45 pot. Give a big Congrats to the Fu MAN!  He hauled in a 12.71 SNAKEHEAD.  He caught some smaller ones but this by far I believe was his PB.

NORTHEAST RIVER, MD TALE OF TAPE:

Summary: NORTHEAST RIVER is still producing giants with a mixture of sub 15" Bass thoroughout the various spots.  The water clarity from the previous days rain make it hard at time feeling suddle bites and pick ups.  I selected a dropshot rig with a Keitech like bait and I swear a giant Snakehead grabbed it and took everything.  The hook, weight, and some of the line.  Goodness gracious!!  Some reported limits by 7:05AM.  Other struggled to get 2 in the livewell.  I caught 14's" and 14.5"s but not came close to Rob and Carlos Lunkers caught today.

SJHT anglers still somewhat figured them out.  The bite started out slow for most.  As the day went on and that light wind breeze along with that cold front, the bite picked up a little.  All in all, anglers weren't really disappointed.

Out of 9 Anglers, there were 16 Bass caught....giving way to 48.42lbs .  The avg. weight was 3.03lbs. per Bass.

Overall.... 3 anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.   7 out of 9 anglers caught at least 1 Bass.

Congrats to Rob Masterson, Carlos Jimenz, Jiggen Den Tolentino and Jackson Fu on your perforrmances.

Next up is SASSAFRAS RIVER, MD in 1.5 weeks.

Tightlines,
