Had the Ranger here for the past week for some spring cleaning in anticipation of getting her ready to sell.  The last task was to start the Johnson Fast Strike and let her run on the muffs for a few minutes.  This motor has not been started since last October but today you would not have known that.  Just a turn of the key and the motor started just like always in a cloud of blue smoke.  Gotta love those 2 strokes.  The idle was a tad rough for about 30 seconds or so then everything smoothed out once the high idle kicked off.  I am always amazed how good some of the old motors really are.  I would not call them bullet proof but for darn sure they last a long time if you take care of them.

Will take the rig back to storage tomorrow will plan on having her back here in a week or so.  We have some medical issues needing attention so it is best to just put away my toys for a little while

Glad to hear it fired right up for you.
