  Fishermen or they think they are, to help the Southern Boys, try and win the Club Shoot out.
Qualifications: Must be able to tell the differance between beer and water.
                    Know which end to put a hook.
                    How to tie any kind of knot
                    Be able to say the word " Bass" where anyone can understand
                    Be able to write an "x" for your signature
                    be at least 5 years old
                    Have at least a 2nd grade education
                    Can't be married to relatives

   Remember guys-  YOU  WILL  LOOOOOOOOOSE!!!!!!!

Now DundeeMike that's a pertty tall order and kind of cute too but I think a little bit of Southern Wisdom might be called for here. I live in the North now but was raised in TEXAS and will always be a Southern Boy at heart and would hate to see ya eatting "Southern Crow" when one of these Good ol Southern Boys or Girls give ya a good old fashion" Whoopen" So go ahead and  em but just make sure ya come back here so we can all see ya eat your Southern Humble Pie

Mike, I happen to know how to fish cypress trees and lilly pads, etc. for I lived and fished in the sunshine state Fla. for 7 years. The Maryland team is ready, willing, and Able to put the Smack Down on yall!!!!!

Beer and water....drink beer, fish in water (NOT skate on frozen water like some do...   , frozen water is to cool down the   )
End to put the hook...easy, its ALWAYS in the fishes mouth
Tie any kind of knot...not necessary, not boy scout training...just fishing
Say Bass...easy...just add the "b" sound to...well, you figure it out
Write an "x" for signature....never give you correct name in public...write the x and put a circle around it
Be at least 5 years old....what, you afraid of fishing against the kids down here....
At least 2nd grade education...not required for purchasing a fishing license...no test required...and our schools go to the 12th grade
Can't be married to relatives...once married, you are related...just ask the courts when you get a divorce

Well Riplipper we have a surprise in store for the boys in south Louisiana that thought they were all that and a bag of chips, and then we stomped them in there back yard. Them Northern boys don't scare me at all, infact I can't wait to open up a good ol fashioned can of.... well that's been said....... I like the "Humble Pie" we better bake up an extra one just in case they get hungry when they head home with their tails tucked.

Dundee, if you have fished them before then you know you will need to leave your sissy baits home and get you some braided line or your after tournament talk will be about the ones that got away!!!!

Mike, Let's look at the word "we".   Also there was no stomping, 3lbs is what seperated us on a let's say terrible weekend of fishing, it was anybodys game, hell if Maryland would have been there they may have even had a chance. I'm not however a sore loser, I congratulate the winning team for winning a vey tough tournament on someone elses home turf. It won't happen again.

Didn't we win by about 4 pounds? So even without papa's fish we still would have won!

Not that it matters...The trophy only has OUR team name on it & not a total weight .

We all won! We had a great weekend fishing, not working, we got to meet other "folks" that have the same interests as we do, and we got to eat some really great food! I think that it was a win all the way around... now I know I am gonna get  for saying this but I said it just the same.

Rattle I have to give you this much, you are right we wouldn't have won without Papa and Trey but for that matter we wouldn't have won without Ricky and Merila or Bo and Mitch or James and Sean! It took a team to win and that is how we fished... as a Team.

Laurie, you are right and of course I was just kiddin, except for the part that it won't happen again. Without a doubt yall have all the bragging rights on this one. We all had a great time and enjoyed everyones company it was of the funnest tournaments I have ever fished. I can't wait for the next one, because if I had a good time losing imagine what kind of time we will have winning.

Mike, You are right most of the Maryland Team doesn't have alot of experience on Cypress trees. Most of us fish Maryland, VA and NC waters. We do see some trees with large root systems. But that is the fun of getting out of our backyard and coming down to yours. Meeting new friends, trying new techniques and eating some local food sounds fun to me. Win loose or draw I'm going to have fun. If Dundee Mike talks trash the Maryland Team will have to fish hard so we all don't have to eat Louisiana CROW.

Crazybass, talking trash is part of it  We are very excited about the next event. 2004 was an absolutely awesome time. The new friends, new waters, great food --- Lock Jaw Bass Club put on a great show and set the standard that we are going to have to meet. I can tell you from our club dinner the other night we have a lot of great plans and good people working to make them come together.

So, talking trash is just a fun way to pass the time till it gets here, once it's here we will all be in for a great time sharing and fishing....... and we won't hold anything Dundee says over your head  heck we might even take it easy on ya'll just to keep it close
