It seems that my 2006 482 takes a while to pop out of the water. I have a 115 optimax with a 21 pitch on it. Am I the only one?

Let us know what kind of rpms you have at WOT, what height you have your motor at, etc.

I can't be of much help but someone that can is sure to be by shortly to help you out. I do know that they will probably want to know the answers to the above questions before they can help.

KMF1470 I'm sure you know that the 482 comes standard with a 90hp but can be up graded to a 150.

With a 115 you will never get the top performance out of your boat that it i capable of.  Now I know we all have limitations but the bigest thing Ive learned over the years about boats is to get the most motor you can.  I doubt you will even get the boat to plane out on the top part of the pad once its up and running so you have room to improve.  1st thing is to give us some RPM ranges and a timeline from take off to pad.  Next we can look at the set up and prop and then we can offer some suggestions.  One of the best things folks have found is that with a smaller motor the fins seam to help out alot on the take off.   Still that only will work if you have good RPMs.  Please let us know what you can and we will offer you advice based off the information.

21 pitch is to big for getting on plane fast.Need to go to 19 just as long as your RPM's stay in safe range.
