make weights have sparkles

there are alot of good ideas here for painting weights....

styrofoam or cardboard box with toothpicks !! CHeck  great idea

however i have found another great trick  for adding sparkles to your weights...


my local dollar store sells "Glitter" clear fingernail polish...they sell it in both silver and gold glitter!!!!  so after spraying my weights  and allowing them to dry i clear coat them with sparkling glitter to give them a bit more flash....and you can mix and match different glitter colors however you want!!!


also lately i've been painting the under belly of the bullet weights red  this way when i'm texas rigging un peg or carolina rigging with a bullet sinker and the weight slides forward a slight bit there is a quick flash of red like a fishes gils opening or some other such think...just a thought
