This lake is starting to turn on for bass and crappie even though launching is tough. Jim Sevits says his dad caught 19 largemouth all over 13 inches using a chartreuse spinnerbait worked through submerged stickups. Lake level is at 1,745 feet (38 -percent full). The Verde River flows had increased to 308 cfs as of Tuesday. The launch ramps are still out of the water. Bass fishing is fair. Crawdad imitations and worming rigs (drop shots and Texas-rigs) are producing.
