let me know what you think about it. I like the mossy green color but seems like it might not cast well as it is pretty stiff. Shawn

I got it on two baitcasters and love it. I use it for throwing spinnerbaits. Was little stiff till i used it a couple times. I also put reel magic on often also. I make long casts with it and have no problems. I use alot of pline stuff now except for braid which is always stren superbraid or suffix braid. I just put some new pline evolution on a couple of spinning reels for finesse stuff in 8lb and i really like it also.

P- line makes some great products, the CXX is real strong and abrasion resistant, great on baitcasters.

If you are looking to use P-line for a spinning outfit try their CX Premium, in the silver box, same abrasion resistance, just a much more supple line.
Been using the 8 and 10 pound test on my spinning outfits for a few years now, after trying about every line out there and can say it has the best all around qualities for spinning use...strong, no breakoffs, knots stay tight ( palomar )...good line.

I just started using this last week, i really like it.  I haven't had any problem casting it.  As far as i can tell it's tough as nails, I keep getting my chatterbait snagged on lilly pads and was able to pull it free

THx for the replies. ;D  I spooled some up today if it quits raining I will go out and give it a stretch , then go put it in the water on sunday. ~c~

I have been using P-Line for what seems like 10 years now.  Really it closer to 8 but who is counting.  P-Line is awesome!  I have used 4# to flip tules when the bite was shy.  I use it flyfishing and it was a main stay in the ocean.  The nice thing about P-line is that you can strech it out to make it arrow straight.  Also, the Cxx breaks at almost twice the rated strength.  That allows you to fish some smaller sizes.  Don't be scared, I have caught pike on #2 test with no leader!

im in  the same boat as you are. i was wondering what would be a more versatile line. PLine Halo or cxx xtra strong. i like the moss grean of the xxtra but the halo seams so sophisticated...hmm

I have used cxx twice now and have caught about 20 fish----I love this line for pulling spinnerbaits, Vibrashocks and crankbaits. I felt like it was a little stiff for soft plastics so I will stick with braid on them and I still like siffix for topwaters. but for the first 3 I mentioned  I am def. going to stick with pline cxx.  ;D

For plastics, try the P-Line CX Premium in the silver box, much better line  than the CXX for plastics, same abrasion resistance, just a bit more relaxed and not as stiff as the CXX.
Works so well I use it on my spinning reels in 8 and 10 pound test for plastics.

I use the P-line CX on all my spinning rods in the 8lb. test. For all conditions for all kinds of baits. I love it.
