Will a Lee Production  Pot melt tungsten? Or do you have to go about it a different way? Thanks!

I can't help you, I have a Lee pot but never tried to melt tungsten. I would think it wouldn't  get hot enough.

I appreciate it. It is just so painful to pay that price for a few weights. Don't know if I could come out a few cents ahead making my own lol. :bang

I know what you mean, I was at BPS one day last week and bought 2 packs. I think there were 5 in a pack and cost something like 4.88 per  ~rant pack. Glad the only thing I use them for is tubes.

The melting point of tungsten is over 6000 degrees F, while most steel alloys melt at about 2500 degrees F, the Lee pot won't work.   ~shade

You could try getting some tungsten powder, and mixing it with epoxy. Should be able to mold it in a jig mold if you use something to coat the mold to keep it from sticking. Silicone spray or vegetable oil might work.   :-*
