2009 BASS Southern Opens, UNDERDOG SEEKS HELP!

My name is Joseph (Joe) Pepper. I am 40 years old, and in pursuit of my lifelong dream!  

I am seeking a sponsor for the 2009 BassMaster Southern Opens ( http://proxy.espn.go.com/outdoors/bassmaster/media/tournaments?code=2010BTS&sort=tourName ) . What I lack in size and speed of boat, will be more than made up with skill, hard work, and determination to succeed. In 2008-2009 I succeeded in finishing in the top 10 in season points for the HT3 Pro Series in Florida against some heavy hitters.

As a sales/marketing professional, I completely understand how important it is to expand brand name recognition. Everybody pulls for the underdog, and that is definitely me. While I fully intend to win an event, I have realistic goals of finishing in the 3 tournament series with a top 30 in points.

As a Sales/Marketing Professional for the past 12 years in the HVAC industry, I have the skill and background to market your product and services effectively and efficiently. Generating exposure and brand recognition are the keys to success, and I can do that in today's highly competitive markets.

My primary objective is to grow my fishing career, while growing sales and market share for those sponsors and business partners who are willing to grow with me. While others are asking you what you can do for them, let me be the one to explain what I can do for you.

My tournament schedule for 2009 includes the Florida BASS Federation Nation state qualifiers, as well as a full season with BFN Club Bay Area BASS Masters out of Tampa, Florida.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

1988 to 1994: Territory Sales Representative for Jane Group, Inc., a distributor for Kodak Micrographics. My responsibilities included the sales growth and cultivation of my sales territory, trade show involvement throughout the state of Florida, as well as the over seeing of the bid process within my territory.

1994-2007: Territory Sales Manager for a Fortune 500 company known worldwide for their high quality HVAC equipment. My primary responsibilities are to grow current dealer sales, as well as the acquisition of new dealership programs. Other responsibilities include the monitoring of market trends within my industry and the continuing education of my dealers conducting business within my assigned territory.

2007 to CURRENT: Distribution Manager for America's leading brand of HVAC Equipment, RUUD A/C-Tropic Supply (Sarasota, FL).

Pro-Staff responsibilities.

2006-2007: The Tackle Outlet, Sales Staff / Pro-Staff responsible for acquiring new business through exposure advertising methods, in house how to seminars, and trade show appearances. As a sales staff member I currently spend Sunday's when my tournament schedule allows it, to work with customers and helping them with tactics, techniques, and other fishing related needs.

2007: Bay Area Bassmasters (Federation Nation Chapter), 2007 Youth Director. My responsibilities include organizing and promoting the Casting Kid's Program. In 2007 I will also be working very hard within my community to involve children who have become wards of the state (orphans) by organizing fishing field trips and other fishing related activities. It is my goal to bring children who without the help of clubs like ours would not have an opportunity to be exposed to the outdoors.
