Got a tournament on the river in the morning after the BASS Central Open tourney has pounded them for the last week. I hope there are still some fish left that i found last week and earlier this week. The BASS is down to 30 boats tomorrow, but i think we ended up with somewhere around 200 in the Oilman's. I haven't heard the final numbers yet, but i'm sure with the 60% rain  ~rain  chance tomorrow, some may back out. Good Luck to everyone fishing the UBCS tourney on Bistineau tomorrow and be careful. SORRY TO DO IT LOCKJAW, but i have to cheer my TCTC on ! Otherwise, i hope everyone has a great time and catches a bunch of fish.  ~c~ ~c~ Take plenty of  ;PHO) ;PHO)   and  ~beer~ a couple for me !  ;) ;) ;)

Sorry to let you down again ! I dont know why i can put it together in prefishing, but when the time comes, i fall flat on my face every single time. I caught 15 pounds +/- thursday and today we caught 6 fish all day with only two that would measure. ANYONE WANT TO BUY A BOAT !  Just kidding, but it's getting awfully frustrating. The only thing that changed was the 4 inches of rain that we got in the last two days and my water came up a little over 1/2 of a foot. That should have pushed them even tighter to the flooded brush i was fishing. I caught them thursday with ease and today NOTHING ! I GIVE UP and sorry i let you all down. I need to sell my boat and buy a good set of golf clubs !  :'( :'( :'(

Aaron-I feel your pain. My brother and I weighed in 4 dinks for about 5 1/2 lbs. He really caught them Tuesday I think it was. We caught 7 or 8 today but only the 4 keepers. It was my first time to fish the Shreveport pool. I got tickled. We could see 2 or 3 places that I suppose are community holes. At times there would be up to 3 boats in each place and when one or all would leave-another one would pull up with 5 minutes usually. I like pool 3 better simply because I have fished it more and know more places to go when things don't go as planned (which is every tournament I fish).

The thing that amazed me the most as I talked to several guys I work with and know at the weigh-in was that one boat might have caught all of their's on topwater while other boats couldn't get bit on them. One caught them on cranks and SB's while we caught ours mostly on trick worms fished weightless because we couldn't get them to hit hardly anything else even though we tried it all. The river fish are a finicky bunch though. We will get them next time.

Well i'm glad ya'll did ok. I had such a good topwater bite going thursday and yesterday could only get a couple of them on topwater and i know i didnt sore mouth every fish in there. I would catch a few here and a few there and move on. As far as the fish being finicky, your so right. You can catch fish in different places on the river doing many things different from where you caught them elsewhere. They are all doing and reacting to something different all the time. Congrats once again !
