I have brought 15 0f the new 100dsv in the last few months.  I have replaced the bearings to ceramic ones and oiled them well, imo i have one of the smoothest reels out the for a little less than 180.  I have tried the Revo-sx but i found that there was to many adjustments to be made to get the brakes set right just mt .2c worth

You cant beat a citica with the light brakes and only 2 turned on. It will thro a weightless sinko a mile and wont even think about back lashing.

ss454, you should be good to go then with the line guide and pin. Call 877-577-0600 and tell the parts guy what you got and he will hook you up ~c~

GRRRRRRRR!  I just got a BILL in from Shimano for repair on this reel...I didn't have time to look at it really well but I'm not happy about this.  I know the reel wasn't abused and had very little use on it from new.
If you build a ramp...I will come...

Did you send the reel to them? They should have sent YOU the parts for free :-\

When I emailed Dan he said to send it in...all I asked for was the parts.

I think one of the ones I bought has the bad worm gear. No matter how I reel it I still get a lot more line on the left side. But the thing still cast a mile with just a hook and a worm. With the 1/2 oz on the wiggle rig I can almost spool the reel.

When you send it in their labor rates are high  :'( Hopefully it's at least working again though
