Here is a great c-rig summer bait. It floats real good and the tail action is crazy even with a slow retrieve.

I'm throwing a 6". Yesterday I put a gambler screw on Florida weight on it and was flippin some bullrush and salad pockets and got some nice fish that way. The tail really flaps around moving a bunch of water. I'm going to try speed worming the thing tomorrow. Also yesterday,  I got my pants scared off by a damn 15lb Flathead that took the thing when I was flippin. I'll tell you what, a catfish that size on that short a line is a HAND FULL.

I have had good luck using these type worms from Gambler, called the Flapp'n Tail.  They have been a bigger fish lure for me so far, no dinks have touched them.

I like that color too but most of my hits have come on the black/blue tail

or watermelon

These worms have been rigged Texas style using 2/0 Gamakatzu G-lock hooks and Gambler new florida rig weights, mostly 1/16 and 1/8.  The majority of the hits have been while slowly dragging the presentation across grass to rock transitions located on points about mid-day.

ANYONE HAVE A HOTLINK TO PURCHASE SOME??

OHbassaholic

Just go out to www.gambler-bang.com and click the on-line store button.  Even better, check your local retailer and if they don't have it ask them to look into carrying it in their store.  :-*
