Hi there Pat..... Looks like you have been plugging away on the Resume.. Can I add my two cents for what it is worth. You have quite a few Accomplishments, working with kids in your community is AWESOME!! ~c~  But if I were a sponsor looking at a Resume, I would personally want to know in those statistcs about you as a person, The Number of people at these events you fish or do seminars at, and most importantly what you as an angler can do for me.. The Exposure that is available to me and the number of people you can teach, educate and introduce my product too. Sponsors receive thousands of emails with Anglers (like U and Me) telling our best fish stories and us putting those statistics on paper, after a while I am sure it all starts looking the same. Stand out.... EX.

Instead of writing a section ABOUT ME:
How about THIS IS WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU: Exposure on stage, on the water, off the water presentations, education, seminars, shows, through the media, on your website, in the news, participating in other events that will also gain exposure... what your future goals are as an angler, how you can push and promote those products locally and nationwide. SALE SALE SALE those products....having the highest finish on our resume doesn't sell their products, but showing them you are a good salesman, teacher and educator does......Also A picture is worth a thousand words. I think it is great when anglers dedicate their time to our youth, that is what it is all about.. But instead of taking up 500 words explaining what you do, how about a photo of you with these kids. it speaks volumes and is less for them to read on a resume... Stand Out my friend........Best of luck

I agree with you, I normally send that out with my sponsorship packet. Thanks so much for your advice. Bass Fishing is a diffrent sport than Pro Wrestling. 'You have to sell yourself on paper, and in wrestling you sell yourself on TV and in the ring. I'll get the hang of it and again any advice is appreciated. Would you like me to send you a packet and you give me some more advice?
Kids are great and I have a two year old son Camden Tyee. go to wwe.com "Where are they now?, click on Pat Rose and check out the pics.

Thanks again,

Pat have you checked out Scott Raubers 'How to Fish for free"? they are very informative, also he sends out a monthly Newsletter with Sponsors opinions on Pro Staff and sponsorships and the ways to and not to approach them.. he is also a UB member and is THE MAN to talk too..

I am no Resume PRO by no means, I have went thru ALOT of trial and error... ALOT....Also something I am going to do in the VERY near future is check out the services Bass Anglers Network has.. they do everything from websites, baseball style cards, RESUMES etc.... All in one location. I have compared the prices and theirs is very reasonable compared to alot of Other things i have used, But the difference is theirs is TOP KNOTCH from what i see on the website...... Even if you start with a website and direct your sponsors to it or even a resume and them persue cards etc.. I know it all Adds up $$ wise, but if i look back over all the paper, printer ink, photo costs etc.. i have done half :ass i could have afforded to have professionals do it in the long run.

I personally have looked in this resume section on UB and there is some Great info from other anglers as well.. Go Get em'
