Fished Comanche Saturday and the fishing was very slow, had five bites. One early on a buzz bait, two on a senko and two on a drop shot. The two fish I caught I got on drop shot. I was marking suspended fish in 20ft of water at anywhere from 15 to 10ft. Sunday and Monday I fished Mountain Lake. Started catching fish around six in the afternoon (got there around four), started of catching them shallow and moved out deeper to try and catch better fish. We were fishing a big flat(6to12ft) that droped hard into a creek channel(18to22ft). Before the sun went down the smaller fish were all over the flat and the bigger fish were suspended right on the edge. Caught fish up on the flat on just about everything we threw(senko,rattle-trap,lizards,drop-shot,crank baits and spinner baits). The better fish never really moved up. We started dragging 10inch worms with the big paddle tails up and down the ledge and caught some better fish. We caught fish steady until 10:30 and then it was like someone turned a switch off and we didn't catch another fish. The next morning we were on the water 20min. before sun up. The bite started around 7:30 and we caught them just like we did the evening before. Moved around trying some different things and caught fish every where just no size. The best fish came on a rattle-trap. Just like the night before when the bite stopped it was dead(11:45). All in all it was a good trip, lots of fish just no size. Anyone got anything I can try when the fish go lock jaw?
