Alright, here is what we discussed at the October meeting. First thing we talked about was the raffle we will putting together to help fund the UBCS. It looks like we will raffle off a hog hunt and a shot gun again.

Here is what was motioned for change in 2008. 1st- do away with penalties for not committing to a tournament. Commitments will be a courtesy but not mandatory. This will also make it mandatory to either pay before the tournament date or at the launch but before official start time. In other words if you are late and have not paid you will not be allowed to fish the tournament.

2nd- change up the trailering rule again. Several suggestions on this. One was to do away with trailing. The other was to do away with the dual check in spots on Toledo. You would still be able to trailer but you would have to leave from the official check in location and wait for official time to leave.

3rd- payout change. We would keep the same system but rather than pay every 7 entries we would payout for every 5 entries.

4th- max times on tournaments. Leave the max time on a tournament 9 hours however in extreme conditions such as early season cold weather or late season heatwaves we could make the tournaments less than 9 hours.

5th- trophies. In the past we give out plaques for 2nd through 6th place for angler of the year. 1st place was given the big plaque which is passed on year to year if the 1st place angler changes. When the plaque exchanges hands the person that held the plaque last is left with nothing. We talked about gettin a plaque for the person who loses the plaque that way they have something to show for their efforts. This would go back to the start of the club.

6th- Lakes. We have a couple of ideas for picking lakes. One was to look at lakes that have drawn the most participation and choose those for the upcoming year. Or we could pick 4 lakes and have three tournaments on those lakes or pick 6 lakes and have two tournaments on each of those lakes. And last was to do as before and pick 12 lakes for the year.

We will vote on these changes at our November meeting. Please attend this meeting.
