Anyone know the name of the "inlet" that is on the Ohio River north or east from Carrollton?  I have seen this on the maps and satellites, but was wondering if anyone knows the name of it; or does it have one?  This is a "lake" that comes directly off the river

Are there spots and largemouth in there, or should I stick to the main channel looking for timber and barges creating current breaks?

I am fishing a one day trip in the spring and just looking for tips Thanks!

The Only thing I can think of at Carrollton is the little Kentucky River, which runs just west of the city ramps there at Carrollton.  There are several locks on the river that you can lock through, but it isn't very wide.

if that's not it, I have no idea.
