Colorado River ?

I'll be stopping at Bullhead City Arizona in a few weeks, and will be looking to do a little fishing from the banks. Yes, my wife will be across the river on the Nevada side gambling away all my money.
Does anyone know if the banks in this area are accessable, and what kind of fish can I expect to catch ?
Any information that you can prove me on this area would be greatly appreciated.
