Hi I'm 17 and just joined a bass club in central Illinois.  I will be the youngest boater in the club going against pretty much all adults and take fishing alot more serious than most kids at my age do.  The classic for our club was just voted to be at Kentucky Lake.  I was wondering if anyone had any tips for Kentucky during mid August.  Any little info about the lake would be great! Thanks

mid august is tough depending on the rainfall ... if there is current fishing ledges should be the thing but the grass is back and will play a big role i think this summer is going to be different than any we have had is a few years. pack deep cranks, jigs, ealry morning topwater, big worms and i would even bring big weights and tackle for pitching mats... i would try to make it down there a least a few times before you go KY Lake can be tough to navigate and to fish.. Good luck
