I have the wires for my MotorGuide TR-82 trolling motor ran on the port side of my boat to the batteries in the rear on a 24 Volt setup.

All the wires for my accessories and Cranking are ran on the starboard side of my boat to my cranking battery.

I want to know if I run two batteries for my cranking & accessories that are run in parallel if it would hurt anything.

I am looking at getting the EverStart Marine Deep Cycle / Cranking Batteries for my boat.  Looking at getting four of them...two for the trolling motor set up for 24 Volts and two for cranking and accessories set up in parallel.  I think it would be benificial but just don't want to damage anything.

Your input and thoughts are appreciated!

If you just go with 3 deep cell you will be fine.

I've been running a deep cell as my 12 volt start/accessories for about 5 years now and have yet to have an issue.

You can run two together, red to red black to black and it won't hurt anything other then the extra weight and pain to charge.

if you take a volt meter to your trolling motor batt each batt is still 12 volts + to - on one batt ..... + on one batt to - on the other is 24

I had this agument with my brother inlaw on a 36 volt Trolling Motor ... I wired the radio to one TM batt  12v....  I had to get the volt meter out to prove it to him

Trying to figure this Bass thing out....

No need to run two batteries on your cranking circuit.  I've fished all day with sonar, livewells, stereo, atc, all cranking all day and never had a lack of power at any time....and I got a tiny battery...
