Hey that was close as it ever was and Danielle, Damon, Aarian and I all had so much fun it was worth it.  D even asked if I thought we could come back because she liked the place that much.

Who am I to tell her no - I don't think we will go back to the Bend!   :shocking:               lo

Man, I had a blast.  ~beer~ Thank you to the great Chef cooking from the lock jaw guys. That was some outstanding food.  ~c~
Congrats to the L/J club for inching out a win.
The UBCS shootouts are such a good time. I thoughly enjoyed visiting with all. There where some of LA's finest there that weekend.  :)

I can if you want me too. ~roflmao In all honosty that was some of the toughest fishing I've seen on the Bend in a while. I'm glad everyone had a good time even if the fishing was tough.

A side note: You wonder why the fishing was tough. Several reasons:
1) heavy winds and cool weather the week before.
2) this one is the kicker - Just North of Toledo Bend they got 15 inches of rain, which I don't believe any of us knew about, and the lake was on the rise big time. The Lake level Friday was just under 171 and on Sunday it was at 173. It is still rising today.

We noticed our grass beds we found fish on Saturday looked different on Sunday...we just couldn't put our finger on what the difference was! Never would have thought the lake was rising.

We pulled about 10 fish off these grass beds Saturday afternoon in the last 2 hours with 3 of them weighing...Sunday, not even a bite!
