Thinking of going down to fish it in a couple of weeks.   Has anyone been there this year, are fish hittin?

Fish are always hitting at Banner! Should be getting there at a the perfect time. Go to the west end and that little cut in the north bank, before you get back in the trees. Shallow water and some grass, with hard bottoms. That's a great lake, you'll have no problem catching fish.

Have been hearing some good things about it.

Northeast Kansas  on hiway 25 [edit:  that's hiway 75] pert near Holton KS...

Have heard good things...have been trying to get there...just can't seem to get past Pony Creek   :'(

Is that northeast of Tutle Creek? I use to live between Belleville and Concordia in Republic Co. Fished Tutle and Milford some but Lovewell and the Jame Town marsh were so much closer. Heading that way in a couple of weeks so I may try to get over there for a day.

yes..it's northeast...75 hiway runs straight north out of Topeka.  And Banner Creek is still just a bit north of 36 hiway...which I believe runs through Belleville...

Banner Creek is located in Holton KS, which is about 25 minutes north of Topeka on 75. You have to turn west at the midtown stoplight and go about another 2 miles. Can't miss it. Well worth the drive. Ton's of bass 15 to 17 inches in there, plus some big un's as well. Good luck.
