Sunrise for Saturday is 6:09 a.m.  We are probably looking at a blast off of about 15 minutes prior to that...5:54 a.m.

We have not discussed yet...but I don't think we will be waiting for folks to launch before the blast off.  It will be each teams responsibility to get launched and ready to go.

I'm planning on being there. I tried to call Darryl Friday, but I had missed him at the factory.
Those are some awesome boats, he's been trying to get me in one. We'll see.

Mike Cork

Bass Buff, try to plan on being there at 5 and in the water by 5:30 the ramp can get clogged quick and we want to make sure everyone is in the water on time :-*

Remember you have to be there 30 minutes before starting time to sign in. Basically everyone needs to be at the launch for 5:15. That will give us plenty of time to get everyone signed in and in the water.

Good point Rattle I forgot about that being in the rules  :-*

I am not sure you can launch 18 to 20 boats at that ramp in 30 minutes...we might have to get an earlier start.

I forgot about the check-in also...thanks for the reminder.

Is there another ramp or is there just that one right next to the bridge. I will be at the launch at around 5 and I'm sure the guys camping with me will be there at the same time. I believe if every gets there at least 30 minutes before launch time we shouldn't have a problem. Whoever is checking people in can walk to each vehicle as they pull up and get them checked in. It should go pretty quick.

Mike Noble

That is the only ramp...and its a double ramp.  It does go fairly quickly if everyone knows what they are doing.  What you don't plan for is "outsiders" trying to launch and clogging up the ramp.  At our tournament there...we had a major mess with some guy launching his boat...he took forever.

Those of us that are staying there should be able to get there before 5 and get out of the way.  Just a thought.

We won't have a problem getting folks check in on time, I have lauched 50 boat tourneys there with no problem, just make sure the best guy at backing up the boat is driving :roll2: the ramp is a little tricky :roll2:

They had an idiot at that ramp when we were picking up for our tournament. He had launched his boat and tied it up to the dock right in front of the ramp. They picked up several boats on the other side before he finally got his crap together and moved his boat. The best part of it all is he was untangling his ski rope while his wife and kids sat in the boat. Makes you just want to go up there and give him a good O0 ~rant ^-^ O0.

Mike Noble

That is my point...its not our tournament guys that worry me...its those "other" folks.

Hopefully those other folks won't be there that early. ;D But you are right everyone needs to get there as early as possible and not push the envelope. That will definately make things go smoother.

I'm going to be there and I think that my wife is actually going to come over with me Friday night to the meetings and meet everyone.

Mike Cork

The wife, ooooh this could be fun. How much money or tackle do you have to keep me quiet :roll2:

WE should't have any trouble that early, however wasn't it that last tournament that we had a guy with an aluminum boat that took about 15 to get in..... Just a thought but I was considering leaving my boat in the water friday night that way saturday won't be hard at all.......Dave

I plan on getting there fairly early around 4:45 or even earlier, but who knows what the traffic will do on the ramp.

MotherNature

Dave,
I was thinking the same thing,,,,, can we leave our boats in the water Friday night at the cabin and just drive them to the launch site Sat. morning? That would help save some time.....

Richoos, I honestly don't know how that works, I believe since we have a cabin we get to use the boat slips right below them :-* is that true Dave :-\
