i have a 2006 nitro nx750  when i get it on plane it wants to turn to the right i half to always hold a bind on the steering wheel an it also wants to get away from me if i hit a wave would a hydrofoil help.

flippinout

I don't know if the hydrofoil will help or not.  Play with your trim some.  My 'NX750 likes the trim to be a little above level and she tracks straight.  It tokk me a little time to get it right.  Just get it up on plane and nudge the trim switch up and down a little until you find the sweet spot.  When you find it...the wheel will tell you that you're in the right spot.

I agree with flippinout, play with your trim.  Sounds like you need to come up on the trim because IMO what you are describing is normal if the motor is to far down in the water.

My boat pulls to the right as I come off plane, but I just thought it was the weight (only happens when I'm alone). Is it happening ALL the time?

well i can only trim up a 1/4 on my trim guage an then it gets where i cant control it. An running it wide open i am running 6000 rpms

What size motor do you have?
Do you have a jackplate?
What is the max RPM's you should be turning?

When you say you can't control it over 1/4 trim are you talking about chinewalk?

Its a Mercury 115 EFI   the max rpms is 6000 with no jack plate. an with a 18 pitch prop

I have a  700LX DC w/120 hp and it seems your trim is not right to me too. But I run a 23 P I still jump out of the water and good top end RPM's 18P seems wrong to me.  :-\

Agreed....18 pitch seems way off.  I turn a 21 right now on my 90hp w/o a jack plate.  I get 5600 rpm on mine.  If i raise my motor, I'll go to a 23 pitch prop to stay in the 5600-5700 rpm range.  I'm not the smartest person to talk about props though.

Well if your hitting your Max RPM's now with an 18 but not able to trim I would say look at turning a bigger wheel and coming up on the motor some but not without 1st finding out what your hight is.

Do you know what the prop to pad measurement is?

Just trying to ask the right questions so ReelDeal can give you some advice, he knows how to set up boats.  ~c~

I have a 05 750nx with a 125. Run a 26 pitch prop and I did put on a fin. It help a lot. Having the weight spread out in the boat and finding the sweet spot with the trim helps with the pulling to one side. I run 54-60 (GPS) depending on the load and air temp. If i don't trim up fast enough when coming out of the hole then it will bite the water and pull to one side. I would do some research on what pitch prop to use. 125 and 115 are almost the same motors and it seems wierd that we run two different prop sizes that far apart.
