My Grandpa was a painter all his life and he showed me this when we were catfishing in the creeks..  He would have a gallon milk jug full of ice in the freezer, and a 5 gallon bucket with a hole about 5 inches in diameter in the top of the lid of the bucket.  He would fill the bucket about half of water, then put the ice jug in the water.  He would leave it in the back of the truck, and after we caught fish, we would clean them, then throw them in the bucket.  It is a good way to not have to clean them at home, and they stay clean and fresh the rest of the day.
