Fishing Lake Wylie

My son Joshua is fishing Wylie last weekend in June.Just looking for any info on what baits are a good choice for then.Never been there before and are putting in at southpoint ramp.Any help will be greatly appreciated,also not being familiar with lake some areas to start would help?Thanks Bob.

That will put you about halfway on lake.If when you come out of soth point take a left go up lake and just before power plant should be a bouy marker on your right is great place to Carolina rig a black worm.Docks in back of cove are great for texas rig and black and blue jigs.Coming out of south ponit straight across is a creek that is a great place to fish,if boat traffic isn,t bad that ponit is one I would try first thing on right side of creek.If need more info pm me and will give you more info and phone number to contact me.Is great place up lake to make run to if willing that just have to give info over phone.Good luck.Kenny
