Well I had a chance to sneak out this morning 8-21-05 to Skiatook since the rain has put off my installing my septic for my new house the last two weeks.  Anyway we went to Osage Ramp and put in.. we were the only boat there at 6pm was a first for sure.  I think the weather scared most folks off as it was heavy cloud cover and some rain on the way to the lake.. Once on the lake we never saw a drop of water.   My partner was having decent luck using a Zoom Z Nail in Watermellon Red TX rigged.   That was the only consistent bite through out the day.  We fished out of Osage area for a while on Deep Rocky Points and Some Flooded Timber.  The water was noticeably cooler with all the rain the last 2 weeks.  The water is remarkably clear for all the rain it was probably 5-6 feet clarity to see the bottom.  We saw lots of fish on the locators holding around 8-14 feet none really on the bottom.  Most fish today were all dinks a few decent size fish. We saw numerous times small hatchling bass running up to the boat checking out our bait 3-5 fish at a time.  I also had some decent success before the sun got up fishing on shaded banks with a White Zoom Super Fluke a 3/0 gammy EWG with a tiny bit of extra weight added..   Nothing came any shallower than 5-6 feet today.  My buddy stayed with the Z Nail most of the day and tossed spinner some with not luck.  I had a couple bits on the following things but no hookups,  I tried Tubes, Grubs, lizards, Senkos, 8 in Worms, and Baby and Regular Brush hogs in colors from pumpkin to watermelon variants and green pumpkins.  No success on any of those.. Tried a Deep crank in Chartreuse/black back for searching nothing either.   Also fished a white jig/white trailer no luck.   Had a couple soft hits on some of the stuff listed.   Bites today were very strange.. Some perch hits,  the small bass all attacked the baits when they were caught.  Very aggressive for this hot in the summer.  And some very faint light hits that didn't produce anything.

We fished up of Osage then headed up to Turkey Creek past the Black Dog Ramp also was the same everywhere.  Saw a few boats when we left around 10 as BOB.. Aka the Big OL Ball in the sky was getting cranking and we didn't want to fight the heat.

That's it.  Blake
