Thanks for voting! If your care to, please share why you like a certain line the best. For more details on these line above you can find them on BPS website under their monofilament page.

I like Triline XL in the fluorescent blue for me the best line out there. Strong abrasion resistant long/smooth casting and hard to see underwater. Great line IMO

I like the same line in fluorescent blue as well...best handling line out there bar none...and, this stuff 'lights up' at night under black light...not to mention that on those over cast days where a lot of the light gets filtered out, the UV that still gets through can tend to also light up the line slightly...making it easier to see...

but make no mistake, I think it's the best handling, all-around line on the market.

i like XL in clear, the florescent blue doesn't work well under docklights.  it glows......

as for my main mono when i dont have XL, it would be Big Game.  its the best for the money.

Now when you talk Floro, i am a Seaguar man.....i won't use any other floro.

For Braid, i am waiting on the new Vicious sample to get here but use the heavy duty Power Pro for froggin' and fireline for the finesse tactics.

Lots of selections above are not MONO as was requested. So since they were listed I selected YoZuri hybrid. At least it is partially mono :) Anyway, it is wrapped in Floro and is an excellent all around fishing line. It is also super cheap. I bought 2 rolls on sale at BPS recently for $5. The rolls were 750 yard spools.

As for my favorite MONO no question it is Berkley Big Game. Another cheap line that seems to not get allot of respect.

STREN ORIGINAL would be my pick since I have never had a break off with it!  ~c~

Been using Stren Original forever and as far as mono goes I don't think I will ever change that. This mono has never let me down.

You can't have a best mono vote and not include Big Game. I have used it for everything from topwater to worms and jigs to crankbaits.  It is extremely abrasion resistent, very strong and handles descently.I am trying some braid and floro now plus I haven't been able to find Big Game in clear-blue floroscent so I am giving Gamma a try .But I don't think you can beat Big Game for crankbaits, spinnerbaits or any steady retreive where you don't need to see your line so much.
I don't mind not knowing all the answers, but I keep forgeting the danged questions.

Suffix elite! wont fish any other line. Handles great and lasts!

I voted for Hybrid because I didn't see Big Game on there.  Hybrid is great in anything below 15lb and then it gets a bit too stiff.
If you build a ramp...I will come...

I voted the same way.  I've been using Stren His-Vis Gold on my spinning reels and Stren Lo-Vis green on my baitcasters forever.  The price is right and I've never had a fish break off.

okay okay, i got a question.  Whats the big deal about berkley big game?  I hated XT and XL and am currently a big P-Line Fan.  Is Berkley Big Game really that good?  I mean, its so cheap how could it be a good line?  Its about a 1/3 of the price the line I use cost.

riverfisher

I chose other, I use nothing but Berkley Big Game!!

Big Game is extremely abrasion resistant, super strong and handles well after you spray it with a line conditioner and stretch it out a bit. Being cheap doesn't hurt either ,allthough I only change it twice a year.

Yup, I'm a Big Game guy too.  ~bb

Second is Cajun Casting, closest thing on the market to Big Game.

For a spinning reel, unless it is a very large spool, I would stay around 12lb or less.

14lb and higher gets a little stiff and unruly.

IMO you left the Best Monofilament line off the list....Excel made by Bass Pro.....

Some of the lines you listed aren't mono (nylon). My bet is that the Other category is going to score the highest.

I agree,  I have tried the Vicious Ultimate and loved it also.

paxpress

Izorline XXX copolymer for me (on spinning gear), so I voted other.

P-line CXX for me.  I fish 12lb most of the time and around some narly cover .  I can't remeber ever breaking a fish off on it.

Suffix Elite just doesent have the memmory of the other lines.
