A.  GENERAL TOURNAMENT RULES

1.  All one-day tournaments will commence at safe light and end at 1:00 PM.  The first day of a two-day tournament will commence at safe light and end at 4:00 PM; the second day will commence at safe light and end at 12:00 PM.  All night tournaments will commence at 7:00 PM and end at 2:00 AM.  A pre-tournament meeting will be held 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each tournament to:

     a.  Review the rules
     b.  Review the river or lake hazards, and
     c.  Determine the starting location

2.  Boaters and non-boaters will be paired by a blind draw prior to each tournament.  Any boater not being drawn by a non-boater will be able to fish alone from their boat or may pair up with another boater.  All non-boaters will be paired up prior to boaters pairing up.  Non Boaters will fish with a new member each tournament until they have fished with everyone.  Membership attendance is highly desired, however a member may notify a club official if they intend to fish the tournament and cannot attend the meeting.  If a boater is unsure about fishing a tournament they will be drawn as a non-boater and unable to use their boat.  The tournament director will be responsible for the blind draw and any pair changes.

3.  Any club member may bring a guest to a tournament to fish from their boat on a one time basis, however they must notify the club of their intention prior to choosing partners for that tournament.  Future guests that are brought by the same club member will be picked as a partner along with the rest of the non-boaters.  If a guest who fishes a tournament joins the club, the club member bringing that guest is eligible to bring another guest to fish from their boat.

4.  Payment of the tournament entry fee of $20.00 will be paid at the ramp prior to the start of the tournament. Tournament entry fee must be paid with cash. An optional Five (5) dollar big bass pool will be collected at the ramp prior to the start of the tournament.  The entire amount collected for the big bass pool will be awarded to the angler catching the heaviest bass during the tournament.  If Big Bass weighs less than 3 pounds or no fish are caught by any participant all money carries over to next tournament.

5.  Tournament payout will be as follows:
1-12 participants: 1st - 50%, 2nd- 30%, 3rd -20%
13-20 participants: 1st- 50%, 2nd- 25%, 3rd 15%, 4th-10%
In the event two anglers weigh in fish payout is 60-40 for 1st and 2nd place.  If only one angler weighs in fish they win 100%.  If no angler weighs in a single fish then all monies carry over to next tournament and included in the pot.  If no fish are weighed in at season ending tournament, all money carries over to first tournament of the next year and is subject to any new tournament rules.

6.  All livewells must be checked prior to the start of every tournament.

7.  Anyone who shows up late for the tournament must check in with a club member, have their livewell checked and pay their big fish fee, prior to casting a lure into the tournament waters.  Not checking in or not having the livewell checked will result in disqualification from that tournament.

8.  Judges for the tournament will consist of the tournament director and the tournament committee.  If any judges are absent from a tournament, the vice-president will fill that position.

9.  The tournament committee will be solely responsible for calling off a tournament.  If the tournament is called off during the course of the tournament, all fish will be weighed and money awarded accordingly.  Any tournament started is an official tournament.

10.  All boaters using a boat during any Camden Bass Club tournament MUST show proof of insurance and registration.  Without proof of insurance or registration, the boat will be unavailable for the tournament.

11.  Any person who is disqualified for rule violations will forfeit any tournament entry fee and big fish pool money if applicable.
