My pride and joy is a 1989 bass hawk.  Being an old boat, it has very limited storage space.  I am extending the front flipping deck back to the drivers console. The only problem is that a plano box cannot stand up in it, it is about 2 inches short.  What I am looking at doing is lifting the front deck 2 inches, and extending that. I am just going to cover the front dry storage and front livewell with supports and 3/4'' treated plywood. (They are so small they are basically useless anyway.) I don't have any experience with this, so I was wondering if anyone can think of any problems I will run into, or any other ideas.  thanks for input.

It might help if you posted some photos of your current deck and storage compartments.
