Midwest UB rally.

Ok...the rally is going to be held at Lake Shabonna on Aug 23rd. I'd like to get a count of how many people and who will be having a boat and who will not. I'll try to edit my post and keep an updated count on how many people.

I'll get it started by saying that i will be attending and that I will bring a boat.

I will also be there and I will have a boat as well. I just don't know what boat yet. My boat is having trolling motor issues again, so I might be using my brothers boat.

BAH! I would be in... but the lake is Shabbona! I refuse to use my trolling motor as my only means of movement on a 320 acre lake!!

If somebody would only wise up and make the whole lake no wake to anything over 10HP....

eye've never fished this lake but have heard it can be a good lake to fish.

I have to agree. I might have enough battery power to get to the fish and back but thats about it. Isn't there some place else we could hit thats not restricted? Like pool 13

Most of us would need to get a special insurance to run our boats on Lake Michigan

I had no idea, sorry. I am game to go to the river to, but you guys in Clinton wouldn't get a new place to run and fish. It's all good to me, just tell me when and where.

Pool 13 is fine with me. I kind of wanted to fish some new water however. If we want to do something on river how would everyone feel about going up around prairie du chien. Some place I've always wanted to fish and I heard it is great.

I grew up in Prairie du Chien!! Lots of good water up there. However I would end up visiting instead of fishing.... :-)

I will be going up there soon Nate if you want to tag along. I'd like new water as well but thinking about having to troll for an hour one way and back plus the crowds on Shabbona has got me to thinkin'

...interesting trip...anyway i drove over lake springfield in springfield, Ill and it looked an awesome lake. Another possibility.

Okay okay, have we changed the spot??? I really don't care if we fish at Shabbona or the river?? Just let me know what everyone decides on.

Nate great idea on PDC, I love that pool. I was supposed to be fishing a tournament up there on the the 15 & 16th of this month but my sister is getting married

This is the first time in 6 years that I have not gone up to fish.

Alright I voted for PDC. It's a much longer drive, and if I don't get recognized I should be okay. But it would be a shame to go all the way up there and not see some of the old stompin grounds.
(I haven't been back in about 6 years)

Dang that's 5 hour drive, I maybe should have reconsidered and weighed this before voting.
I dont' know if I can do that for a sunday of fishing.
