Don't know how many people actually still fish there but north of Walker lake on Route 50 is a place called the Weber Reservoir, great place for fishing, actually runs off the Walker river and is located in the Indian Reservation, just get a reservation stamp before fishing there, but when I lived in the area back in the day (1991 - 1993) we were killing the smallies up on the river side where the water spills out of the lake and turns into the river.  If your in the area fish there and let me know if the fishing is still off the chain!
