The lamiglas bass excel rod seems to be a hot rod right now. You can get them at tacklewarehouse for 99-109 with free shipping. If you buy directly from lamiglass you pay 140-150 plus shipping . I was thinking about gettiing the 7ft med heavy excel, I would like to hear some opinions on this rod if you guys have any

I don't have any of these rods, but I held them at a sportsmans show the other day. I am familiar with Lamiglas rods, and wrote about my first impressions about the Excel rods.

While I haven't fished with an Excel rod, learned that they are made with Lami's Certified Pro blanks, and I am familiar with them.  I can tell you that Certified Pro blanks are awesome. They are light in weight and strong and have excellent sensitivity.

I was very impressed with the feel and held the model you are asking about.  Just look for the thread I started about my first impressions of the Excels. In one word, WOW. I'd say go for it. I am pretty sure that you will not be disppointed. ;PEP)
ARX - IB's Daughter on BC Reels:
"Papi! I like this reel. It is so much easier to use than the other one (the spinning reel) and it is more fun to use too." Now all I can say to that is this;
"That's my little girl!"
