Korea Bass Fishing Report - 17th and 18th March 2010

DooRang Lake, Jinju
3~4 foot depths, stained water, 1 foot visibility
Water level at full pool
Boat fishing
17th Mar 2010
11:00am ~ 4:00pm
Sunny with some cloud
12 mph wind from the SW
Air - high 48*
Water - 49~52*

Fished with the wife this day, and we both caught plenty of bass for this time of year. Good news is the water temps are slowly but surely getting over the 50* mark and the bass are biting much better.

JangCheok Lake (Near Daegu)
6 foot depths, stained water, 1 foot visibility
Water level up and colored from the rain and snow
Boat fishing
18th Mar 2010
10:00am ~ 4:00pm
Blue skies and sunny
14 mph wind from the WNW
Air - high 48*
Water - 48~49*

Water temps are a little lower at this lake, but it's a little further North than the other lake I fished. The wind was blowing very hard which made it hard to detect bites. I did have a few bites and managed to connect with one of them by pitching a plastic craw in a wind protected cove.

Nice reports!! Did you get a chance to take some pics? It looks like I skunked out for winter fishing, batting 0 for 2.
