I'm a thrifty guy, you have to be now days, so I'm looking for the least expensive flouro that is good (if there is one).

Thanks

Vicious fluorocarbon been using it since they started making it and can tell you almost the exact dates of the 5 times i have broke off over the last 4yrs. as far as cost goes it is about half the cost of any other brand plus you get 50yds more. the 250yd box runs from $10.49-16.49 depending on line size. you can also get it in 550-800yd spools. doug

You seem to be the only person on this forum that likes Vicious. I seen 550 yard spools for 14.99 on Ebay. That is crazy cheap! The one spool I have tried was very stiff. Do you use a line conditioner?

i do use line conditioner and will agree the 17lb and 20lb feels a little stiff but those are heavy lines. i use the 20lb fluorocarbon for swimbaits. i also used to use it for flippin but now use the 15lb for flippin even in heavy cover. it is a confidence thing for sure but after using it in heavy wood and grass the 15lb held up fine. there are some more people on here that use Vicious as well they just have not jumped in yet. doug

I be one who uses Vicious flouro also along with there Ultimate Copoly. I also do use a line conditioner on the flouro, don't need it on the Ultimate. I am sure there are limper flouro lines out there, but the Vicious stuff is some pretty strong line and really not a problem to cast once you get use to it.

Another vote for Vicious. No problems with it in two years and I can't remember it ever breaking off on a fish.

Cabela's No Viz is one of the most economical by far... 200 yards for $9.99. That's tough to beat. It is reminiscent of Sea Guar's Invizx which is a fantastic fc line. I believe that Cabela's fc line is made by Sea Guar.
ARX - IB's Daughter on BC Reels:
"Papi! I like this reel. It is so much easier to use than the other one (the spinning reel) and it is more fun to use too." Now all I can say to that is this;
"That's my little girl!"

Hmmm that's interesting and good to know. I really like Invizx and if I can get something like it for 9.99 I'm all for that.

I've had nothing but bad luck in the past with Seaguars, but I tried the Red Label this spring and I've been impressed. Its about $12 for 250 yards.

Cajun line is awesome! Smallest diameter and very easy casting. The guys over at Hawg Wild Lures sell it for a decent price. www.hawgwildlures.com

I saw that fluorocarbon on the hawg wild site and was wondering about it. How's the castability with that line?

Just re-read your post, didn't see the castibility comment the first time. Sorry about that!  ~b~

I bought some of this in 15 lb after reading this post and used it Friday. Cast good and has great feel of the worms I used it on. I put some Line & Lure conditioner on it the night before after spooling it on and it worked great all day.   ~c~

I've used Sunline Sniper for over three years and can not find any reason to change.  I am one that does not like to put anything on my line fearing it will weaken it. I feel if I need to put a conditioner on my line to get it to perform I don't need it.

Seaguar is easily the best out there, and for the money you cant beat red label, JUST drug in a nice 4lb bass using it, and i have to say it does add to sensitivity. line is absolutely wondersome.

Suagar red label is good line for the bill! I was suppressed when I first used it! Not as good a other Suagar lines, but better then Viscous IMO.
*tap tap* "There she is!"

My favorite two are Triple fish and Cabelas No vis.   The TF seems more castable and the NV seems more abrasion resistant.

I refuse Vicious its not to my liking. Seaguar is excellent stuff. getting some tatsu for a tournament. I might switch to the Sugio brand by gary yamamoto. stuff is supposed to be that FIRE.

I would have to go with the Bass Pro Floro. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. I have yet to break off a fish and I use the 6, 8, and 14lb test.

I do have 20lb Vicious Floro on one of my flipping rods. It casts ok but I seem to need heavier weights 1/2oz or greater to have good control over it.

BPS i have never tried, so i cant speak for it, but my friend at BPS that works there recommends the Red Label Seagaur over ANYTHING for the price.

Its great. i just tugged in a nice 5lb bass tonight, no breaks in not strength. The lake i fish at needed to restock fish, so there getting bigger. hopefully soon people will be dragging in 15 lbers. next couple years i reckon.
