Now, bass anglers in Oklahoma and surrounding states have the opportunity of a lifetime.

The BASS ZONE and Trifecta Fishing are proud to announce the Fish and Chips Satellite Tournament. Based at Martin Landing, the Satellite event will take place on Grand Lake, Sunday, October 24, 2010.  This will be a one day team event hosted by Trifecta Fishing.

"This event is designed to give the true amateur a chance to fish and play poker against the nation's top touring bass professionals," said The BASS ZONE's Mark Jeffreys. "This is not a jackpot type event.  The satellite is designed to let amateurs earn their way into the Fish and Chips event," added Jeffreys.

The team format tournament will allow three (3) teams to earn the opportunity to compete in the 2010 Fish and Chips event at Downstream Casino, November 4th-7th.

The winning team will earn $1,000 plus, a free entry into the 2010 Fish and Chips Tournament.  Second place will earn a free entry into the 2010 Fish and Chips Tournament and third place will earn $750 toward a guaranteed entry into the 2010 Fish and Chips event. 4th place will receive $250 and 5th place will receive $125.

There is a specific criteria for teams to be eligible to fish the satellite event.  If you or your potential partner answer "YES" to any of the following questions, your team will  NOT be eligible to fish the satellite event:

·         Have you or your partner ever paid $500 or more for a team or individual entry into a bass tournament?

·         Have you or your partner ever won a bass fishing event on Grand Lake with a field of 150 boats or more?

·         Have you or your partner won more than $20,000 in cumulative cash and prize tournament winnings fishing bass tournaments on Grand Lake?

"Once again, this event is designed for the true amateur to earn a chance of a lifetime to fish against Skeet Reese, Greg Hackney, Mike McClelland, Dean Rojas and others," said Jeffreys.

Anglers can prepay the $125 entry fee per team for the Satellite event or pay at the ramp the morning of the satellite event for $150 per team.  Registration, rules and payout information can be found online at www.trifectafishing.com.

Teams will take off in the order in which entry fees are received. Teams will be required to be at Martin Landing for livewell checks and official start. Check or Money Order MUST be received on or before Wednesday, October 20, 2010. Teams can mail their check and registration forms to Trifecta Fishing at 4747 Research Forest, Suite 180-244, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.  Please make checks payable to Trifecta Fishing.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2010 Fish and Chips Satellite event at Martin Landing on Grand Lake, Sunday, October 24th.

event was canceled as you well know by now. The information said nothing about a min. number of boats, however that was the reason given for the cancelation. I think that a lawyer could make that into a lawsuit for breach of contract if someone was to want to push it.
