Twas the day before the Shoot Out
and all through the camps
loud buzzing was heard
from chargers with 10 amps.
Outside laughter and giggles
from talk whose the tops
then silence occurs
when Scott gets hit with flip flops
Noble flashing ones
as he remembers last week
Cork checking his lower unit
for a new sprung leak
Thibodeaux is in the kitchen
cooking it up right
Legend pulls up
man what a sight
Test rides are given
hair blows in the wind
Making a joke about my bald head
now that's just a sin
In an accident
a Lock Jaw member will fall
but not to worry
his partner will take third over all.
Twin Cities gives out prizes
and feeds us til we are full
Seventy five gifts and Bar-b-que
man that was cool
No championship for the South
but a strong showing as you saw
Look out this year Toledo
here comes LOCK JAW

Cool  Rattle ~c~! A poetic fisherman, that's a rare find :roll2:!

But I expect the trophy to come back home with the TCTC ;D!

In the spirit of the Christmas season I thought I would bring back the ole Ultimate Bass "Twas the day before the shootout".

Addition to the poem

Another year has past and Twin Cities prevails
a 3lb win and all we heard was yells
crawfish we boil
and fish they fry
their talk of a butt whippin
is all but a lie
their prevailing win was thin
their talk was big
it's like hair on my head
it would be a wig
as another UBCS nears
the clock we watch like a hawk
come on guys it's time for trash talk.

I think the only talk that can be called "trash talk" would come from LockJaw.  When the TCTC speaks...its just a FACT.

Just for you Mr. Cork.  ~roflmao

Yep, year 3 of the UBCS
Is now in the books,
I believe it was a 3-peat
At least from where I look.
Whether a 3 pound win
Or a 50 pound spread,
LockJaws chances for a win
Or all but dead.
The food was awesome
The conversation was great,
For the 4th UBCS
I know we all can't wait.
Until the tournament time
LockJaw will be very brash,
There will be talk from them
And all of it is trash.
Come the middle of June
In the north on Bistineau Lake,
Once again the TCTC
Will leave LockJaw in its wake.
So talk your trash
About winning number 4,
For TCTC all this winning
Could become a bore.
But once again we'll show up
Rods, reels, and lures in hand,
And with the final tabulation
TCTC will again take the winner's stand.
So if you want to win the title
This you need to remember,
TCTC will again win and you
Could apply to be a member.
