I may try to get a little more action from my fellow Ally guys. There is a big following on fastbass.com and allisonowners.com. Seems like the more diehard fishing guys run Tritons, Rangers, etc..... I'll post a link on the other boards and try to get some more action on here for the fishing boards.

Don't know that I could drive an Allison, they are crazy fast. I get to see some of them on the Red River in Shreveport once in a while. Only a couple tournament guys fish them though.

I'm new to this site but have been a member at another site...Screan and Fly...for years. I've had several Allison's buth bass boats as well as closed deck boats. I personaly like the way the Allisons fish. Now I Am By NO MEANS A Tournoment Fisherman anymore but, the Allisons even the small one...XB2002...have a decent live-well, decent storage, are very easy on trolling motors, good rod storage and of corse FAST! I really like this site! Some VERY good information here. Thanks! Mike T.

Hi Mike and Thanks for the welcome! I'm starting to get back into fishing a little now. I kind of burned out on the performance stuff for now, and figure that as long as I stay away from the tournoment deals and fish for FUN! then, hopefully I can enjoy myself. I fished again out of my XB2002 last weekend, and it's not that bad of a fishing boat. The wind BLEW! all weekend and I didn't have any problems getting where I wanted to go. Livewell kept fish great, and the trolling motor battery stayed up all day. We were fishing both in the wind and against a strong current as the SWFMD folks had every lock on the Kissimmee chain open to let water go south. Also had two other buddies bring XB2002's and two bring there XB2003. so we had five groups of people fishing out of Allisons. Mine was the slowest one there was the only problem.

Still a good weekend of fishing. Mike T.

I agree this is a great site with a ton of good fishing info! I enjoy fishing out of my XB2003. I do get some pretty funny looks at the ramp with all of my rods on the front deck

It's easy in the wind and handles the rough water great. My only complaint would be storage, there is plenty just not as well laid out like a triton/stratos. Being able to beat the guys to the fishing spots makes up for it though

Because of weight, I didn't figure an Allison would handle rough water well? Good to hear it does! What is the actual weight?

I've never been fortunate enough to drive one

but I'd love too!!!

Mike Mine is a ...now don't laugh to hard..."tournoment addition" It has all the pumps timers and cleats. It weighs right at 825# There are lighter ones out there but, they have gotten a little hard to find. My buddy Brad Tressler..."allisoon man on S&F" has one a little lighter than mine Probably 800# his is a tournoment model also. My nephew just sold a comp. model his weighed 775# The only REEL LIGHT ones were the 1st. group made they were in the 675-725# range. Yes mine runs a little over 90 with trolling motor batteries fishin' gear lawn chairs etc. as well as my fat azz! It ran 97 stripped. Brads and Andy's boat both run well over a hundred.

I have seen much info about Allisons other than speed.. I have actually seen one in person since fishing the red river last year.. How well do they hold up when fishing lakes like fork when your running into stumps all day? And no I don't mean on plain

I read nothing but good things on Allison boats. How they ride in the rough stuff has been nothing but positive. That would be great to see Allison and Phoenix forums. Build it they will come.

thats STUPID. haha. wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to fast for me. my Sea Ark going 45 is fast enough for me.

whats up you guys just signed up i too drive a 99 allison 2003 with a 225 super mag i've had skeeter , blazer 202 love my allison perfect for the marsh here in louisiana fun to drive and fishes great to
