Florida big girls

Finally found some of the big girls down here is Florida. Caught both of these yesterday 8.0 and 8.3 oz.

Wanted to show the mouth of one of the fish. I am still amazed at how big the mouths on these fish are!

Over 30 lbs right now and can still upgrade with a couple good one back in New York with some luck!

That might be interesting. Last year a 3 day bass tournament out of Toronto, Canada was won with all smallmouths and if you did not have a 25 lb limit each day you did not make the money. While I don't spend that much time off shore fishing smallies, but I catch a bunch of them just the same. Will have to try and remember to start weighing the smallies and see what I end up with.

I have already talked with a new place to stay for next year and plan on at least two months and maybe 3 if things change the way I think they might after I get back to NY. Really like coming to Florida not just for the fishing, but the people down here for the most part are very friendly and out going.
