Swimbait

This is a new swimbait I just finished. PVC, 5" long, weight 1 ounce. It sinks at a medium-slow rate and has a very fluid action.

JR, I'm officially a PVC convert. I really like being able to carve baits without worrying about woodgrain, and also not having to seal baits before painting.

Having traded a few baits with Ben I can tell you his work is exceptional. You have to have one in your hand to appreciate them, pictures don't do them justice.

what do u mean by pvc? I know what pvc pipe is but what are you using to craft the bodys. very good looking baits.

I use PVC foam board for my lures. It's a synthetic material similar to wood, but it's waterproof and it doesn't need to be sealed prior to painting. It can be carved and sanded like wood, but it has no woodgrain so you don't have to worry about it splitting. I started using it about a year ago, and I've never had any reason to go back to using wood.

No, I use AZEK PVC board.
