Got out for a few hours this afternoon after work, bright and sunny the worst possible time to fish. Had to get a look at the water before this weekends tourney since I hadn't been there in a couple weeks. Water at the launch was a stained green, odd color to say the least. Tons of moss floating around the lake, but that's expected since it has been so hot here with no rain.

Only had 2 1/2 hours to fish, but got 8 bites and boated 6 fish. 2 fish I did not try to set hook on though, I felt how heavy they might have been and just let them hold the bait until they spit it out (remember I have a tourney this weekend). Best bites came from my usual Jig X and ODA chunk trailer. Did try something new today though, decided to start punching a little bit, southern boys had be convinced to try it. Luckily I had some KaRu weights on hand to do it with!

Quick run down....
Water was HOT!!

Moss mats are abundant (Mike Cork would like this)

And..... my 1st fish punching the moss/weeds (4" craw and KaRu weight)
