I'm having a hard time trying to figure your interest/motive here, with the CBF as a whole.  You have already conceded that you have fished your last CFB STQT.  All that I see is negativity towards the Colorado Federation and some of its members/officers from you.  While these feelings may be founded and shared by others, you are not in a position to do anything about it, nor are you willing so what is the point Chris?

What's going on in the Texas Federation?  ::)

:shocking:  Enlighten me big guy on what you have contributed.  I am still a paid member and a member of the state team for one more year.

I posted that to try and provoke some interest in the pages again.  Perhaps create meaningful discussion rather than needle and complain.

Perhaps you should step back and post something useful and create life in the page.  Maybe by doing so when someone comes by that may be moving to Colorado they will see life in the federation and be prompted to maybe join up and contribute.

I am a supporter of BASS and the grass roots it is based on.  My motives were to stir up life and keep the page alive letting prospective members know that though there arent many posts there are still people here and the federation is alive and well.

BTW next time you want to just attack ME directly put on your big girl panties and call me or send a private message.

As for animosity towards BOD members and or particular members perhaps you should look into the whole picture before casting judgement.  To be honest I couldn't even pick you out of a lineup and I did quite a few events over the time I was there.

You have no idea what went on this past year nor do you know the history of Joe and I (I am pretty sure your referring to this) So please before you want to step up and attack me do a little digging and find out where I come from.

Alright then buddy!  I guess you could have simply stated your intentions.

I'm not attacking you dude, nor am I judging.  I am merely stating that your tone overall is negative towards the CBF and anyone can see that in all of its redundancy.  If you are concerned about prospective members and what they may see on these boards, then keep it positive!

Thanks Mike...

Are you still doing reel repair?  What is the water situation down there?  Sure is a sad state of affairs in Texas.  Guess we will be fishing our STQT on Powell in 2012 because there is some water there.  Personally, I prefer Amistad.  Hopefully will get down to Falcon next year as Chris Dombkowski has moved to San Antonio and has invited me to come down and fish with him.  He is fishing the Opens now.

Cheers,

It's bad here in Louisiana. We are blessed to have 11 full blown lakes locally. 6 within 30 minutes from my house. All but one and the Red River are too low to fish. Keep in mind that many of our lakes are only 6-8 foot deep. So if you take 4 feet out of them it's BAD Business to try and run on them. I think the news said we are over 4 feet behind on our average rain fall. We don't make the news because Texas is so bad but if we don't get rain before lone I'm going to have to move in order to fish  ~roflmao

I still help on the side with the reels but Pro Reel here on the site does a fantastic job and he is cheaper than I was  ~shade If you ever need work done check him out on the Reel board here on the site.

If you can get there Falcon is unbelievable right now. I haven't been but we are close enough that many folks go and the stories they tell are almost too much. If they weren't all giving the same reports you'd have to call the BS Flag. So if you can get the change jump on it.

Powell used to be a really good lake :-*

I've fished Powell twice since becoming a bass fanatic.  Always caught some fish but nothing to write home about.  The disadvantage is the distance from the launch site to where some guys want to fish.  Not uncommon to burn $200 in gas which is a little expensive for the co-angler.

Just read the Falcon Lake fishing reports...sure sounds like "the" place to go... if you aren't afraid of pirates.  Hopefully will be there in Feb next year.

If you talk to the folks that fish it regularly, it's really safe if you stay on the US side. Some say it's the safest lake in the United States right now with all the patrols LOL

<Powell used to be a really good lake>

What do you mean "used to be a really good lake"?

I've been fishing Powell for almost 30 years now and it has always been good.

Not to mention it's the most beautiful place on earth to fish.

Now, if we could just grow those Falcon sized LM bass.

But then again, how many striper boils does Falcon have?

There are Stripers in Falcon...
